How to Play
You only need to do three things: study the photo, place pins on the map, and use the distance feedback to work your way toward the real location.
Start with Starter
Starter is the easiest way to learn the loop before moving on to the Daily Challenge. It uses familiar places and gives you room to understand the photo, pin, and distance rhythm.
Three steps to every photo
Study the photo
Look for clues like architecture, landscape, road markings, language, climate, and city density.
Place pins on the map
Drop a pin anywhere in the world to make a guess. Each guess shows the distance to the real location.
Refine until you solve it
Keep improving your guesses until you get close enough to solve the photo.
Visual clues that help
- Architecture and building styles
- Language on signs and road markings
- Vehicles and driving side
- Landscape, vegetation, and climate
- Coastlines, mountains, or city density
Solve rule
A photo is solved when you place a pin within 50km of the correct location.
Once solved, that photo locks and you move on to the next one.
Pins and guessing
You are not limited to one guess. You can drop new pins as many times as you like.
The distance feedback helps you work your way closer to the right place.
Results and My Map
After the game, you’ll see your results and can review the photos you found.
My Map shows all your discovered locations on a world map.

Scoring tips
