Is MapaPhoto free to play?

Yes. MapaPhoto is free to play and accessible without creating an account.

Are the locations real?

Yes. Every photo in the game represents a real-world location.

How does guessing work?

To help with guessing, MapaPhoto lets you place and move the pin for each photo as many times as you want. Each time you place or move the pin, you can see the distance in km from the pin to the photo location on the map.

What game modes are available?

  • Starter – relaxed play with no timer, ideal for learning.
  • Quick – a fast 60-second challenge.
  • Timer Run – a longer timed run with more photos.
  • Daily – a once-per-day themed challenge shared by all players.

Is MapaPhoto educational?

Yes. The game improves geographic awareness, spatial reasoning, and visual deduction skills. Many players use it as a learning tool.

Is MapaPhoto suitable for children?

MapaPhoto contains no adult content and is suitable for general audiences. Younger players may enjoy Starter mode with guidance.

How does the Daily Game work?

The Daily Game refreshes once per day with a new themed set of photos. Everyone plays the same challenge, and you can only complete it once per day.

How is my progress saved?

Progress is stored locally on your device using browser storage. No account or personal details are required.
